Course Description: Anatomy and Physiology is an upper level course designed to develop an understanding of the structures and functions of the human body, while relating those to knowledge and skills associated with pathophysiology. Upon completion of this course, proficient students will be able to (1) apply the gross anatomy from earlier courses to a deeper understanding of all body systems, (2) identify the organs and structures of the support and movement systems, (3) relate the structure and function of the communication, control, and integration system, and (4) demonstrate a professional, working understanding of the transportation, respiration, excretory, and reproduction systems.

Our classroom is technology friendly.  Students are encouraged to bring their laptop/chromebook for use during approved class assignments. All personal devices are the responsibility of the student.  Devices will not be allowed to be left overnight in the classroom. CELL PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Turning in Assignments:  Failure to turn assignments in on the due date will result in a late grade.  Assignments are due at the beginning of the class.  Work that has been completed on a computer can be submitted using Office 365.

Retake Policy:  Students who make under 80% on a test will be given an opportunity to retake the test.  Retakes will need to be arranged before or after school.  They will not be given during the school day.  Students are responsible for setting up a time with me.  The highest score given on a retake will be 80%.

Late Work: Assignments not turned in on their specified due date/time are LATE.  If an assignment is not turned in on time it will be marked as MISSING in the gradebook.           5 Points will be deducted each SCHOOL DAY work is late.  After day 3, student will receive a pink sheet along with deduction points.
